I am a fully qualified and REPS insured YMCA FIT Level 3 Personal Trainer. I started my journey in the fitness industry as a lifeguard when I was 18. I then went on to work as a trainer in commercial gyms before I set up my own business called Slim Gyms in 2014. Not only that, but I’ve been in the fitness industry for nearly 18 years now and still absolutely love it.
I specialise in strength and conditioning training. So whether you want to tone up, build muscle, sculpt your physique, lose weight, get your figure back after a baby or recover from or prevent injury, my dedicated training programs are tailored to your specific goals. It is my mission to provide you with the passion, enthusiasm and the knowledge that you require to gain full potential as a healthy and fit human being.
My deep passion about health and fitness drives me to the profession of a Personal Trainer. I believe it’s not too much to say that your whole life can benefit from Personal Training. It is a great feeling to share my in-depth knowledge and experience that I have gained over the past years and help my clients to obtain a happier and healthier lifestyle.
With me, it’s not just about doing exercise or participating in sport. I believe a healthy lifestyle is not just your physical fitness but also your mental health and well-being. I will give you specialist advice on diet and lifestyle as well as ensuring you have the right eating plan to compliment your training and achieve your targets and beyond. My programs also include training that is conducted outside the gym, so that you can continue on your path to success on days when you are not having a Personal Training session.
I pride myself on my ability to communicate effectively; this is critical to success. Once I have a complete understanding of your individual needs, I plan and execute a comprehensive strategy to achieve them. Keeping you involved throughout, I take great care to listen to and act on feedback. Intended to be advanced, challenging and enjoyable, the plan will help you to meet all the top features of fitness improvement. This ensures that you will become not just leaner, but more powerful, flexible, more stable and responsive as well.
My aim is to increase the number of happy clients. Their results are the best advertisement for my effort and efficiency. Using a combination of my knowledge of the latest scientific fitness research, my firm but fair motivation style and your hard work, you too will see measurable results in as little as just 4-6 weeks. I believe there is a type of training suited for everyone and whether it be TRX Suspension Training, Power Plate, resistance training or Boxing Pad Work to name just a few, I can help you discover yours. Training is only half the game – the other half takes place in the kitchen .
All the training in the world will come to nothing without the correct nutrition to back it up.
Muscles need calories to grow. They also need the right combination of carbohydrates for energy, protein for muscle repair and fats to protect joints and improve metabolism. Plus your diet needs to include a good range of vitamins and minerals as these will help protect your body from the ravages of intense training .
I offer all my clients the option to complete a 7 day food diary and from that information I can put together a food plan that works for you. This is to maximise you results and to increase your gains. Believe me your body will thank me for it !
